Modern sky Music Festival

Rock'n'Roll, passion, fashion!
During September 30th to October 2nd, more than 10 thousand people, Chinese, American, European, crowed to Haidian Park in Beijing and enjoyed the music, sunshine and the air! That was Modern sky Music Festival! (Modern sky, the most influential Chinese label for indie music).
Music＋！What does “Music＋！” mean?  This is the concept of Modern sky Music Festival. It means there is not only music!
Music＋Art: Art Exhibition. Music＋Space: Original design decorations, T-shirts, handbags were selling. Music＋imaging: Independent films. Music＋Love: Environmental protection, energy conservation and panda conservation.
70 bands, artists and DJs performed their music from 1 p.m. to 11p.m.on main stage, rock stage and electronic stage, including nearly every music style: alternative rock, punk, hard-core, heavy metal, folk, brit-pop and electronica.
Main stage, He Yong, Zhang Chu and New Pants were three grand finales in every three days.
He Yong and Zhang Chu are the two long-not-seen prominent rock stars in China. Everyone who likes rock music knows them and their glory time in 1994. “Sister” is one of Zhang Chu’s famous songs. On the first night, the audience was at fever pitch when he was singing that song! All the audience was singing together. And He Zhang’s performance also killed the audience. His father, He Yu Sheng，who plays trichord, a kind of traditional musical instrument in Beijing, was playing in his son 's song “Bell and Drum towers”. The crowd cheered. They concern about our ordinary life and politics in their albums. They move the people’s heart.
New Pants is a punk band in new generation. Not like He Yong and Zhang Chun, it is a funny band. They concern about fashion, joy, love and enthusiasm. The singer also is an independent film director. On the third night, their playing was full of passion and craziness. People were singing, dancing and enjoying the music and enthusiasm.
There were still others great bands on rock stage. Most of them were young and rock. For instance, Convenient store, Milk@coffee, Yu Fei Men. They are the new power of Chinese independent music.
During those three days, my eyes were always attracted to colored hair, interesting T-shirts, tattoos, funny posters, skateboards and beautiful girls in fashionable clothing. People were enjoying Modern Sky music festival, no matter dark hair or blond hair. People were just talking, drinking and having fun with friends, family and lovers. Sometimes they were lying down, enjoying the music or looking at the blue sky and clouds; sometimes they were just playing games and taking pictures or hanging around, buying interesting decorations and CDs. Everybody was enjoying the sunshine, air, music, food, fashion and love.
